The whole week of intense Spanish she helped us by putting stickers around the house, labeling things in Spanish. I was sad to leave her on Friday, but was excited to meet everyone in the dorm.
We traveled around all Friday picking people up form the airport and so on. When we got to the dorm we were met by 3 other past volunteers and other new people. I was surprised by the large number of people who we were going to be living with.
The first week was very stressful and very fun because my teacher spoke some English so we could get a point across, but never have a good conversation. The kids were so young and so cute that whenever I felt stressed they cheered me up. I also enjoyed getting to know everyone in the dorm and legaly drinking for the first time.
For the weekend my mom and I took a guided trip to see volcan Arenal and la Fortuna. This was an expensive, yet great get away from living with 14 people LOL.
The second week of school was way better because I knew what to do, what I could do, and what the kids were like.
I will definitely miss the kids, even though I never want to work with them again.
All in All it was a great experience, and I would do it again, in a diferent country.
