When I initially signed up for the trip I was expecting a relaxing vacation in the sun, like all of my other vacations. But what I ended up experiencing was not just an ordinary two weeks in the sand; it was much more than that. I was able to experience a whole new culture and I met people that I will never forget.

Costa Ricans are so grateful for everything they have and the people they surround themselves with that they don’t seem to care about materialistic things.

This amazing quality, that everyone here seems to have, creates an incredible and unforgettable living environment that I believe everyone should experience. I have learned more here than I ever thought was possible. Teaching children English was so rewarding, and my night classes with the adults were even better. I really loved every minute of it and hope that someday I can make a larger difference here. I will defiantly be back to help wherever I can.

At the end of my program, I left this report for uVolunteer. I hope it helps future volunteers have a good understanding of the uVolunteer program. I've also allowed uVolunteer to give out my email address to those interested in asking me questions about my trip and the uVolunteer program.
